Privacy policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains what personal data Senoseč.live processes, why, and what rights you have. We respect your privacy and follow data minimisation — we collect only what is needed to coordinate rescuing young animals ahead of mowing.
Data controller
The data controller is DroSys s.r.o., the operator of the Senoseč.live platform. For data-protection matters contact us at info@senosec.live.
What data we process
- Account data: e-mail, first and last name, optionally a nickname and phone.
- Interest areas and home location: cadastres/municipalities and optionally a map point used to show you relevant events.
- Live location during an event: only after you opt in; shared live with the team, with no movement history kept — the last point is deleted once the event ends.
- Finding records: species, state, location (a map point), optionally a photo.
- Technical data: information needed for sign-in and operation (e.g. session, notification preferences).
Purpose and legal basis
We process data to coordinate volunteers (legitimate interest and performing the features you request as a user) and based on the consent you give at registration. Notifications and location sharing are optional and can be turned off in settings at any time.
Anonymisation within an event
Other participants see only a nickname — by default your first name and last-name initial (e.g. "Jan K."). Your full name and contact are visible only to the event or group coordinator. The exception is carpooling: a driver and their passengers can see each other's phone to arrange the pickup.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for marketing. The drone advertising (DroSys) is shown site-wide and does not target you personally. Data may be processed by our processors that run the service (hosting, e-mail and push notifications) to the necessary extent.
Retention and deletion
Locations are deleted after an event ends. We delete your account and personal data on request (see below). Finding photos are kept for a reasonable period to evaluate the rescue. Operational and conservation records (where animals were found, which field was checked) are kept in anonymised form.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the right to:
- access your data,
- rectify inaccurate data,
- erasure ("the right to be forgotten"),
- object to processing and withdraw consent,
- data portability,
- lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
Minors
The app is intended for adult volunteers. Minors take part in events only when accompanied by a parent or an adult who consents on their behalf.
On-device storage
To run the PWA and offline mode, we store necessary data on your device (field map tiles, a draft finding, sign-in). This data stays on your device and serves only the app's functionality in the field.
